New Castle, IN : Woman killed in struck by a vehicle Eastern Indiana on Friday January 1 2016.

Eastern Indiana police say a New Year's Eve golf cart crash has killed a woman who was a passenger in the vehicle.
Henry County Coroner Steve Hacker says 51-year-old Shawne Land died late Thursday after the golf cart crashed along a county road.
The Star Press investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The Henry County Sheriff's Department says the golf cart was being driven by a man when it left the road, traveled down a slight embankment and overturned about 10:45 p.m.
Land was trapped beneath the vehicle and later pronounced dead at a New Castle hospital.
