Two Motorcycle Riders Killed in Wreck on Decatur Georgia

Two motorcycle riders were killed late Sunday when their cycles collided with a moving vehicle on Interstate 285, prompting authorities to shut down the freeway for several hours.
The wreck occurred about 11 p.m. on the outer loop of I-285 between Flat Shoals and Bouldercrest roads. One of the victims died at the scene and another was pronounced dead after they were rushed for medical treatment to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Witnesses told police that a group of speeding motorcycle riders were traveling down the freeway and driving erratically in the moments before the accident occurred.
Police said the two motorcycle riders were passing between two cars when they apparently collided with one of the vehicles.
No citations have been issued, and police said the investigation was ongoing.
