Amity, OR : Flagger seriously injured afer being hit by vehicle on Highway 99W south of Amity on Thursday night, Nov 19, 2015

A flagger was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured Thursday night, according to the Oregon State Police.

Police said the incident happened on Highway 99W just south of Amity while the man was flagging traffic.

The man was taken to a Portland hospital with serious injuries.

OSP says Highway 99W will be closed for some time while it investigates.
