Tallahassee, FL : Man charged with DWI following hit-and-run crash on May, Saturday 6th 2017

William MacPherson, 72, of Winter Haven, Fla., was charged with driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and other vehicle and traffic infractions Saturday following a 7 p.m. hit-and-run accident at Hyde Park Boulevard and Packard Road in Niagara Falls.

A Sanborn woman told police that she was waiting at a stoplight there when her car was struck twice by a driver who then fled down Niagara Street.

Police said MacPherson failed a field sobriety test when they stopped his vehicle about 20 blocks away. Police said that MacPherson had a blood-alcohol content of 0.14 at the time of his arrest.
