Cleveland ,OH :44-year-old Anthony Joiner Off-duty East Cleveland police officer killed and two ohers injured in crash on Sunday ,April 12th 2015

An off-duty East Cleveland police officer was killed in a crash Sunday.

The accident happened around 2:30 p.m. in the 15100 block of Terrace.

Police found a male and female inside of the car at that time.

44-year-old Anthony Joiner, a 14-year veteran with the East Cleveland police department, was pronounced dead.

A passenger, Maxine Joiner, 67, of East Cleveland, was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. The East Cleveland Police Department has set up a 1 p.m. news conference regarding the incident.
