WESTPOINT, TN : Two hospitalized after crash with serious injuries in Lawrence Co on Sunday, 7th January 2024

Serious injuries were reported after a crash in Lawrence County.

On Sunday just before 8:30 a.m., crews with the Lawrence County Fire Rescue units were called to the West Point Fire District in response to a crash.

When crews arrived, they found one person pinned in a vehicle with serious injuries. Officials were able to get the driver out by removing the top of the vehicle.

Lawrence County emergency officials provided care to two people on the scene before they were flown to local hospitals.

The roadway has since reopened, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
