TALLMADGE TWP, MI : Slippery roads lead to car versus tree crash in Tallmadge Township on Saturday, December 10th, 2016

A 19-year-old Grand Rapids woman suffered a head injury in a one-car crash early Sunday afternoon on Luce Street west of Eighth Avenue.Alisha Longwood was taken by ambulance to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids following the 12:30 p.m. crash. Police said her condition was unknown.

Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the area along with Tallmadge Township Fire Rescue.

Police said the 2000 Mercury Mystique, driven by Gabriel Williams, 20, of Lamont, was eastbound on Luce, lost control, went into the ditch and struck a tree.

Williams was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
