A 69-year-old woman was killed in an accident on the South Side Friday morning after a water delivery truck reportedly failed to yield for a stop sign and struck a vehicle at the intersection.

Costanza, a passenger in the front seat of the PT Cruiser, was killed instantly, Jackson said.

The driver of the PT Cruiser, a 65-year-old woman, was transported to Parkview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the water delivery truck was not injured in the accident. Police have not released his identity. Jackson said he was interviewed by police Friday and charges against him are pending.
