Hannibal, MO : Woman injured in a crash in Ralls County on Thursday afternoon, December 29, 2016

A Hannibal woman was injured in a Thursday afternoon crash in Ralls County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by Landry L. Nichelson, 18, of New London, was eastbound on Centenary Road at 3:20 p.m. and pulled into the path of a southbound 2010 Ford Fusion on Mo. 79, 10 miles south of Hannibal, driven by Nicholas J. Echternkamp. 24, of Hannibal. The patrol said the Impala was struck by the Fusion.

A passenger in the Fusion, Angel N. Vavra, 20, of Hannibal, was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital with moderate injuries.

Nichelson was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said, and Echternkamp and Vavra were not.

The patrol was assisted by the Ralls County Sheriff's Department, Marion County Ambulance, Ralls County Ambulance and Hannibal Rural Fire.
