Wells, ME :Man hospitalized, charged following crash with Wells police cruiser on Saturday, July 4th 2015

One man is in the hospital following a crash with a Wells police cruiser.Maine State Police alerted Wells police to a vehicle driving erratically southbound on the interstate just after 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning.The vehicle, driven by Anthony Menici, 33, of Massachusetts, was seen crossing several lanes of traffic before heading into the median and colliding with a cruiser parked there looking for the vehicle, police said.Two officers were treated at the scene while the driver was taken to a hospital in Biddeford.State police are investigating. Menici was charged with OUI, driving to endanger and possession of Suboxone.
