JACKSONVILLE, FL : 1 dead in crash on Southside Service Road, Cunningham Road on Wednesday, 3rd March 2021

A woman died in a crash Wednesday evening near the Arlington area.

The crash happened at about 6:10 p.m. at the intersection of the Southside Service Road and Cunningham Road, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

A woman was driving north on the Southside Service Road. She swerved off the road and hit a fence near a home, JSO said during a briefing.

When first responders arrived on the scene, the woman was already unresponsive. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

There was no one else in the vehicle at the time, and there are no other reported injuries.

JSO's Traffic Homicide is investigating the crash.
