IOWA CITY, IA : Bicyclist seriously injured in Iowa City collision on Sunday, 15th September 2024

Iowa City Police say a bicyclist has serious injuries after getting hit by a minivan Sunday afternoon.

The department says at 4:06 p.m., officers responded to the 3300-block of Rohret Road for a report of a collision involving a minivan and a bicycle.

Police say a woman was riding the bicycle. First responders transported her to a hospital for treatment.

The collision is under investigation. A spokesperson for the police department tells KCRG-TV9 that the case is not being investigated as a hit and run.
