Woman Dies In Morning Crash On Highway 58

Chattanooga Police Officers responded to 5200 Highway 58, at Champion Rd., on an accident with injuries. Upon arrival Officers found two vehicles that were involved. Vehicle 1(a 4 door sedan) was attempting to cross the southbound lane of Highway 58 from Champion Rd. when it was hit by vehicle 2( 4 door truck) which was traveling southbound on Highway 58. The driver of vehicle 1 was deceased at the scene and a juvenile passenger of vehicle 1 was transported to a local hospital. The driver of vehicle 2 was also transported to the hospital.

Southbound Highway 58 traffic is blocked off at Hickory Valley Rd. and Northbound Highway 58 traffic is Blocked off at Eller Rd.

This accident is still under investigation."
