A man killed in a crash Friday afternoon in the Brookside area has been identified by police as Trent Goodrich, 53, of Olathe.

Kansas City police said the one-vehicle crash occurred about 12:40 p.m. Friday at 58th Street and Brookside Boulevard.

According to police, a Chevrolet truck ran off the road and struck a tree. Goodrich was the truck’s only occupant. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
