Houston, TX : Bystander saves three men from fiery crash in Houston's Fifth Ward on Wednesday, February 15th 2017
A bystander saved three men from a fiery crash Wednesday night that left two of the men injured.
The crash happened at about 10 p.m. in northeast Houston near the Greater Fifth Ward, according to the Houston Police Department.
The men were speeding eastbound on Liberty Road.
Houston officers said that at some point, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete culvert along the railroad tracks and flipped upside down near the corner of Liberty Road and East Lockwood Drive.
The car caught fire, destroying the vehicle. The driver was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Another passenger was transported in stable condition, and the third passenger was not hurt.
HPD is investigating to determine if alcohol was a factor.
