POMONA, CA : Motorcyclist killed in collision with SUV in Pomona on Saturday, 5th November 2016

A man was killed Saturday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a Nissan Pathfinder, police stated.

The vicinity of the collision at South Towne Avenue and East Phillips Boulevard remained closed 5 p.m. Saturday so police could continue investigating its cause, according to a Pomona police dispatcher.

The collision between the SUV and motorcycle happened about 1:30 p.m., a Pomona police news release states. The motorcyclist was brought to a local hospital where he died of his injuries.

The Nissan’s driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, the news release states.
