Clio, MI : 16-year-old dies after car crash with tree in Clio on Monday, 17th June 2024

CLIO, Mich. (WNEM) - A 16-year-old boy is dead after being involved in a car crash in Clio on Monday, June 17.

The Clio Police Department’s chief said it happened at about 2:30 p.m. when officers responded to reports of a car versus tree crash in the 300 block of Field Road.

When police arrived, the car was actively burning, the police chief said, adding passersby and neighbors were able to remove the occupants, two 16-year-old boys from the Clio area, before the car became fully engulfed.

They were treated at the scene before being sent to the hospital, according to the police chief.
