Pinellas Park, FL : Passenger seriously injured in a single-vehicle hit-and-run rollover crash on US Hwy 19 and 70th Ave.on Monday morning, June 22, 2015

Pinellas Park Police have the driver in custody allegedly involved in a hit-and-run early Monday morning. The passenger involved in the crash was ejected from the vehicle with serious injuries, police say.

Police say the 1999 Ford Explorer rolled over and came to a rest at US Hwy 19 and 70th Ave. around 3 a.m. The driver, whose name has not been released, fled from the scene on foot and was found in a nearby park a few hours later.

During the crash, one man was ejected from the vehicle and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. A K-9 track was unable to locate the driver after the crash.
