Athens, TX : 7-year-old girl died on Wednesday following a wreck on Wednesday, 6th June 2018

A 7-year-old girl died on Wednesday following a wreck two days earlier on RM 2329 south of Eustace.

Aviana Laroche of Mabank died at Children's Hospital in Dallas, where she was flown for treatment following the one-vehicle crash.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. Jean Dark said the wreck happened when Stacy Gale Laroche, 28, of Mabank, was traveling south on RM 2329 approaching a curve in the road to the left. DPS reports show that Laroche, distracted by one of the children in the vehicle, failed to negotiate the curve, traveled off the west side of the road and vaulted over a private drive.

The vehicle landed on its right side then tumbled end over end before coming to rest upside down in the ditch.

Dark said a 4-year-old female passenger was taken to UT Health in Tyler in stable condition. A 3-year-old boy and a 1-year-old female passenger were not injured.
