A motorcyclist was injured and taken to the hospital Thursday following a solo vehicle traffic collision on Highway 14 near Newhall, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said. Fire Department paramedics and California Highway Patrol officers responded to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle in the northbound lanes of Highway 14 near the Newhall Avenue off-ramp Shortly after 4 p.m. “We got the call as collision, a motorcycle down,” said Fire Department Inspector Rick Flores. “One patient was taken to a local hospital.” The identity of the crash victim and the extent of his injuries were not disclosed. After the motorcycle hit a curb, it hit and toppled a traffic sign posted at the off-ramp, a firefighter from Newhall Fire Station 73 said. Source : Motorcyclists injured in Newhall freeway crash
