KILLEEN, TX : Two in hospital after crash involving a police cruiser in Killeen on Wednesday, 6th September 2023

The Killeen Police Department is investigating a crash that sent two people to the hospital Wednesday night.

At 9:44 p.m. a patrol officer with Killeen PD was driving northbound on W.S. Young Drive when he saw two vehicles racing on the roadway.

While the officer was attempting to do a traffic stop, he was involved in a crash with a red compact car that was going eastbound on Poage Avenue.

The crash caused the driver and passenger in the red car to be ejected from the vehicle. Police told KWTX the red compact car was not one of the vehicles racing on the road.
