Live Oak, FL : One woman injured after a two-car crash in Suwannee County on Tuesday, July 28, 2015

A two-car crash in Suwannee County Tuesday sent one woman from Belgium to UF Health Shands Hospital with serious injuries and a possible amputation, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.About 11:40 a.m. Tuesday, an FHP report said, Paola Kete Tipeni, 47, was driving south on State Road 93 in a 2001 GMC sport-utility vehicle when she ran off the road's east shoulder. Tipeni overcorrected, running into a 2015 Dodge pickup truck driven by Jason Sprague, 38, of Cape Coral, the report said.Tipeni's car was carrying a passenger, Francoise Gbomakanday, no age listed. Gbomakanday was taken to UF Health Shands Hospital with serious injuries. Five children, ages 8 through 16, were also in the car. Only one of the children was hurt, and was sent to UF Health Shands with non-life threatening injuries.Sprague had two 11-year-old passengers, and neither was hurt, the report said.
