Alcester, SD : 67-year-old man dies in rollover crash in Union County on Tuesday, January 6, 2015

A 67-year-old man is dead following a rollover crash on County Road 13 in Union County.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Lee Wayne Thormodsgaard was heading west in a 1994 Jeep Cherokee when he traveled off the snow-covered road into the north ditch and rolled. The incident occurred four miles east of Alcester, in the southeast part of the state.

The Highway Patrol says Thormodsgaard, of Alcester, sustained fatal injuries in the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation.
