Springfield, IL : Five injured in crash at Dirksen and Cook on Tuesday, 24th April 2018

Five people were taken to Springfield-area hospitals Tuesday following a traffic accident between a church bus and a car at Dirksen Parkway and Cook Street on Tuesday.

The Springfield Fire Department reported the injured included the driver of the Zion Baptist Church bus, three passengers on the bus and driver of the car. None of the injuries were life threatening.

The two vehicles ended up on the northeast side of the intersection following the crash, which occurred around 1:40 p.m.

No information was immediately available on which driver was at fault.
