Sarasota County, FL : Pedestrian dies in Clark Road crash on Wednesday night, December 2, 2015

A Sarasota man died Wednesday night in an accident on Clark Road.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol:

A car driven by Terrence Smith, 70, of Uniontown, Ohio, was eastbound on Clark Road just west of the intersection with Lockwood Ridge Road at about 9 p.m.

Vicente Ruvalcaba, 42, of Sarasota attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of Clark Road and stepped directly in front of Smith's car, where he was struck.

He was pronounced dead at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Smith sustained minor injuries.
