Dane county , WI : 44-year-old Troy E. Goodrich Seriously injured after Two vehicle crash along Highway 51 on Tuesday ,May 19th 2015

A Madison woman was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Dane County Tuesday evening, police said Wednesday.

Dane County sheriff's deputies were called to Highway 51 just before 7 p.m. after 57-year-old Sandra J. Schwab was rear-ended by 44-year-old Troy E. Goodrich, according to a news release. Schwab had been waiting to make a left turn.

Schwab suffered significant injuries and was flown by helicopter to UW Hospital, the release stated.

Goodrich was cited for inattentive driving, following too close and nonregistration, police said.
