Olympia, WA : Kennewick woman hurt in crash near Richland on Sunday, December 11th, 2016

A Kennewick woman was injured in a two-car crash on Interstate 82 near Richland Sunday morning.

Daniel Maes, 40, of Toppenish, was driving an Infiniti four-door west on the interstate in the left lane at 10:31 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.

He switched lanes and hit another westbound car in the right lane about two miles west of Richland, according to police reports.

Daniel Lomax, 25, of Kennewick was driving the car that was hit, a Buick four-foor.

Shannon Mallow, 40, of Kennewick, a passenger in the Buick, was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.

Maes is expected to be charged with driving too fast for conditions, according to the state patrol.
