SILVER SPRINGS, FL : A Silver Springs man died in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday, August 6, 2017

A Silver Springs man died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning during which he was thrown from his vehicle.

Michael Adam McPherson, 34, was driving westbound on Southeast 95th Street Road around 4 a.m. when he lost control of his 1993 F-150 pickup truck. After maneuvering a curve in the road, the pickup truck traveled across the eastbound lane and onto the road’s shoulder.

The truck hit a mailbox and a tree, which caused it to rotate counterclockwise and begin to overturn, according to a Florida Highway Patrol incident report. The truck overturned several times, crossing many driveways and hitting several more mailboxes.

McPherson was ejected from the truck as it overturned.

No other vehicle or person was involved in the crash. McPherson was not wearing his seatbelt. Officers are still investigating whether alcohol was involved.
