Milton ,NH :Three Women killed in Crash after Jeep struck by a Subaru and crossed over into the northbound lane on Thursday night ,February 12th 2015

Three women were killed and a dog was euthanized after a car crash in Milton, New Hampshire Thursday night.

Police said a Jeep was traveling southbound on Route 16 when it crossed over into the northbound lane. The Jeep was then struck by a Subaru.

The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Subaru was taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where she was later pronounced dead. A dog in the Jeep had to be euthanized due to its injuries.

The passengers in both vehicles were also taken to Frisbie Memorial Hospital. One of the passengers in the Subaru was later transported to a hospital in Maine, where she was pronounced dead. The other passengers remain hospitalized in serious but stable condition.

The roadway was closed for about four hours. Police said the accident remains under investigation.
