Martinsville, IL : Two killed in motorcycle crash on North Cline Orchard Road on Saturday evening, June 25, 2016

A man and a woman died Saturday evening after the motorcycle on which they were riding struck a deer on North Cline Orchard Road about 3 1/2 miles northeast of Martinsville.

According to a press release from District 12 Illinois State Police, David S. Noble, 58, of Martinsville and Amanda K. Welling, 45, of Marshall died due to the accident.

Police reported the pair was southbound on North Clint Orchard Road just south of East 1780 County Road at 8:15 p.m. on an orange 2000 Harley Davidson motorcycle when they struck a deer that was crossing the roadway ahead of the cycle. Both Noble and Welling were ejected from the motorcycle.

Illinois State Police and the Clark County Coroner's Office personnel are investigating the deaths.
