Milwaukee, WI : Car thief crashes into tree, dies in Milwaukee on Monday, Nov 23, 2015

A car thief died late Monday when the car he had just stolen in Milwaukee hit a tree.

The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. in the 9200 block of W. Silver Spring Ave. and involved a 2003 Ford Focus that the driver had just stolen from a nearby parking lot, Milwaukee police said in a news release.

The 50-year-old thief was speeding away when he lost control of the car and hit the tree. The man, whom police did not identify, died at the scene.
