CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP, PA : Corrections bus loaded with inmates crashes on I-76 near Lawn Service Plaza on Friday, 30th October, 2020

All eastbound lanes of I-76 have reopened after a corrections bus accident on mile marker 258 of I-76, between 247-Harrisburg East and 266-Lebanon-Lancaster exits around 8:37 a.m. on Friday.

According to the crash report, the bus was traveling in the left lane when the left steering tire suddenly deflated, causing the driver to lose control and the vehicle striking the center concrete barrier.

The bus was loaded with 38 inmates and staff. All inmates were accounted for after the crash and transported to Penn State Hershey Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
