Two Grandview residents were injured when a semi truck hit their SUV Monday morning in Benton City, the Washington State Patrol reported.
Angel Barriga, 61, of Pasco was driving a 1999 Peterbilt tractor and trailer west on State Route 224 around 10:30 a.m. when troopers said he turned south on State Route 225 and collided with a northbound 2005 Buick Rendezvous.
The Buick’s driver, 73-year-old Agustin Gonzalez, and his passenger, Maria Gonzalez, 75, were taken to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland, where they were treated and released.
All involved were wearing seat belts, according to the State Patrol’s news release, and Barriga is expected to be cited for improper lane travel.
