MADISON, WI: Motorcycle driver who died in crash on north side identified on Wednesday, 25th September 2024

A motorcycle driver who died Saturday following a crash on Madison's north side was identified Wednesday.

Robert W. Magel, 64, of DeForest died following a crash near the intersection of North Stoughton Road and Rieder Road on Saturday just after 3:40 p.m., he Dane County Medical Examiner's Office said. Witnesses said he failed to negotiate a turn and was ejected from his bike.

A preliminary examination found that Magel died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. His death remains under investigation.
