Pendleton,SC : Coroner IDs Upstate man killed in Pendleton crash on may, Saturday 20th 2017

The coroner confirms one person has died in a crash in Anderson County.
Troopers said the incident happened around 10:23 p.m. along US 76 and Singleton Avenue in Pendleton.
The coroner identified the victim as 43-year-old Artavis Maurice Ramsey of Seneca.
He says Ramsey and his girlfriend were heading to Pendleton to visit friends when they swerved to miss a car on Highway 76 South. Ramsey then crossed the median and hit a car heading north, the coroner reports. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner says Ramsey was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision.
Ramsey's girlfriend was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the other vehicle sustained a broken ankle, the coroner said.
Alcohol is not suspected in this case, he said.
