Jasper County, SC : One person killed in multi-vehicle wreck on US 17 in Jasper County on Tuesday, September 13, 2016

Traffic is delayed on U.S. 17 in Jasper County, near the Talmadge Bridge, after a fatal multi-vehicle wreck.
An officer on scene told WTOC that one person was killed in the accident.
A total of three cars were involved.
A 2007 Chrysler 300 and 2006 Subaru SUV were traveling south on US 17 when traffic came to an abrupt stop.
The Chrysler swerved to avoid hitting the Subaru, before clipping the left rear corner of the car. In the process of swerving, the Chrysler entered the northbound lanes and was hit by a 2005 Ford pickup.
The driver of the Chrysler was killed. Three other passengers in the car were transported to the hospital.
The crash is still under investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
