Sarasota County, FL : Three people injured in I-75 crash in Sarasota on Wednesday, December 3, 2014
The drivers of three vehicles involved in an Interstate 75 crash Wednesday morning sustained minor injuries.
The crash happened at 8:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes north of Clark Road, causing traffic delays, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Pamela Farrara, 60, of Sarasota, was slowing her black Cadillac for the exit, FHP reports.
Susan O’Toole, 50, of Sarasota, who was driving a white Lexus behind Farrara, also slowed.
Brittany Pecora, of Sarasota, was behind both of the vehicles in a maroon Suzuki. Pecora did not have time to slow down and avoid a collision. Pecora’s vehicle struck O’Toole’s vehicle, causing O’Toole to strike Farrara’s car.
All three drivers were taken to local hospitals for minor injuries. A 9-year-old child in O’Toole’s vehicle was not injured.
Pecora was cited for careless driving, FHP reports.
