Chattanooga, TN :One killed, two seriously injured in head-on crash Saturday in Dalton on Saturday, March 25, 2017

One person died in a head-on crash Saturday on the South Bypass in Dalton, police said.

Spokesman Bruce Frazier said the driver of a Ford Mustang was traveling south on the bypass near Sawgrass Drive when the car crossed the center line and hit a Chevy Silverado pickup head-on. Another northbound vehicle was caught in the crash but Frazier didn't have the make or model.

The Mustang's driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the hospital. The driver and one passenger in the Silverado were taken to Erlanger in Chattanooga with serious injuries. The back-seat passenger was taken to Hamilton Medical Center. Nobody was injured in the third vehicle.

Frazier said the traffic unit is investigating the crash.
