OCONEE COUNTY, GA : Head-on crash leaves 3 dead, coroner says on Saturday, September 23rd 2017

The South Carolina Highway Patrol and Oconee County Coroner's Office are investigating a wreck that killed three people.

Troopers said the crash happened around 6 p.m. Saturday on Highway 11 near Austin Edwards Road and Walhalla High School.

State troopers said a pickup truck crossed the center line and hit a car.

The drivers of both vehicles and a passenger in the car were killed, and a passenger in the car was airlifted to a hospital, troopers said.

There is no update on the condition of the injured passenger.

On Sunday afternoon, the Oconee County coroner identified the people killed in the crash.

He said the driver of the pickup truck killed in the crash was Wayne Olliff, 51, of Lawrenceville, Georgia.

The coroner identified the two people killed in the car as Christopher Shackelford, 52, and Kelci Shackelford, 20, of Mount Holly, North Carolina.
