A 53-year-old Seaside woman died in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 26 on Sunday night.

Investigators said Tracy Rambo was driving a 2006 Pontiac sedan westbound on the highway at 5 p.m. when she slowed to turn onto Highway 103.

While the car was momentarily stopped for passing traffic, police said it was rear-ended by a 1992 Ford F-350.

The collision pushed the Pontiac into the eastbound lanes where it was hit head-on by a 2004 Jeep Cherokee, according to Oregon State Police.

Rambo was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both people in the Jeep, Chase and Lilleana Pietz of Battle Ground, were taken to the hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.

The driver of the pickup, 20-year-old Dustin Harrold of Cottage Grove, was not injured.

The investigation into the crash is continuing, according to police.

Highway 26 was closed for more than four hours with a detour in place.
