Barre,VT : Thursday wrecks a problem at T-Road on June, Thursday 28th 2017

The response from my column last week about the lack of respect among local stock car racers was overwhelming. Comments were positive from fans and thankful from frustrated drivers and promoters. For that, I am truly grateful – and somewhat relieved that I’m not the only who had that opinion.

Unfortunately – at least in the case of the Late Models at Thunder Road – the advice fell on deaf ears. Even more cars were wrecked last Thursday night than the week before, so much as to prompt comparisons to the track’s annual Enduro.

Well, Late Models, I tried. Good luck to eachofyoufor the rest of the year. Tear ‘em all up and put on a show!

Cris Michaud can call it the “Million Dollar Demo Derby” everyThursdaynight. And while he’s at it, he can cancel his recentlyannounced plans to bring back the old Warrior division since he already has one. (Just kidding, don’t cancel. The “Road Warriors” will wake up from their six-year slumber July 20 and we’re looking forward to it.)

All joking aside, Late Models, cut it out. This may not be professional-level racing but it’s close enough that things should be taken more seriously. There won’t be anyone left if you keep up the nonsense.
