Akron, OH: Driver and passenger took off running after crashing into a Madison Avenue home on Friday after Midnight, 7th November 2014

A driver and passenger took off running after crashing into a Madison Avenue home in Akron just after midnight Friday. According to police the driver was southbound on Madison Avenue just south of Lawton Street when he lost control on a curve. The driver went through two yards before hitting the front steps and porch of the home. No one inside the home was injured. The car came to rest against a fence and then the driver and passenger jumped out and ran. One person was caught by Akron police and arrested, the other was able to get away. The owner of the home Clarence Brown told this is the third time the home has been hit in 10 years. The last time it was hit the entire porch was torn off the home.
