A motorcyclist was killed following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 41 in unincorporated Mount Pleasant Friday afternoon.
Just after 1 p.m., deputies with the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a collision on the highway near Elijah Small Road.
Deputies reported that a vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 41 struck a stopped vehicle in the same lane. A report states that the impact caused the stopped vehicle to strike another vehicle and enter into the opposing lane where it collided with an eastbound traveling motorcycle.
The motorcyclist died from the collision.
