Oregon State Police is continuing its investigation involving a single vehicle crash along I-5.
The crash occurred Saturday afternoon at the Speaker Road interchange near Wolf Creek in Josephine County.
According to Sergeant Brandon Boice, at approximately 4:08 p.m., Terry Ray Ackroyd, 40, from Winchester, was traveling southbound on I-5 near milepost 78 when he left the freeway.
The car rolled and ended up 100 feet off the roadway. Ackroyd was partially ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.
According to witnesses, Ackroyd was driving recklessly and at a high speed just prior to the crash.
