Leavenworth, KS : Lansing driver killed in crash on February, Monday 12th 2018

A Lansing man was killed when his car collided with a log truck Monday morning on U.S. 73-Kansas 7 Highway, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported at 6:35 a.m. in the southbound lanes of U.S. 73-K-7 at Marxen Road.

Dennis W. Wagner, 54, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet passenger car south when it crashed into the back of a Freightliner truck that was hauling logs, according to a report from the KHP and Leavenworth County Emergency Management Director Chuck Magaha.

The truck driver, Brendan R. Shepherd, 29, Cameron, Missouri, had started to turn left onto Marxen Road, according to a report from the KHP.

Wagner was killed in the crash. The other driver was not injured.
