Richmond, VA : Fatal crash in Amelia County on Thursday, September 7, 2017

The victim of Thursday's fatal crash in Amelia County has been identified as Charlotte F. Batchelor, 74, of Midlothian.State police said a woman died Thursday in a two-vehicle collision in Amelia County.

The woman was driving a 2009 Honda on eastbound state Route 636 shortly after 3 p.m. Police said she did not stop at a stop sign at state Route 609 and pulled in front of a southbound 2016 Toyota van, which struck the Honda. The woman was flown to VCU Medical Center, where she died.The driver of the van and his passenger were treated for minor injuries at Swift Creek Emergency Center in Chesterfield County. All three people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts, police said.

The crash remained under investigation Friday.
