Woman and a 3-year-old girl killed on U.S 285 in semi-truck crash near Carlsbad in New Mexico, Collided with Semi-Truck.

A woman and a 3-year-old girl were killed Monday afternoon when their car was hit by a semi-truck at the North Loop Road and North Canal Street according to New Mexico State Police. A 1-year-old boy was taken to Carlsbad Medical Center, but his condition wasn't immediately available.
State Police spokesman Emmanuel Gutierrez said the truck T-boned the driver's side of a sport utility vehicle just after 3 p.m. Monday. A woman in her 40s and the 3-year-old were pronounced dead at the scene.

It's the second fatal crash to occur in a week on Eddy County Roads. Last Monday, Oralia Lara, 50, was killed and four passengers were injured when their car hit a semi-truck that turned in front of them on U.S. 285 in Loving.
