Latonia, OH : One person died in a single-car crash in Kenton County on Sunday afternoon, Aug 9, 2015

One person was killed in a single-car crash in Latonia on Sunday afternoon, according to Kenton County officials.

Officials responded to the scene on Locust Pike, just south of the intersection at Wards Lane, at 2:14 p.m. After arriving at the scene, first responders found a Chevrolet Blazer with heavy damage and on its roof off the side of Locust Pike.

Police believe that the driver lost control of the car before it slid off the road, hit a guardrail and overturned, according to a release.

The Kenton County Coroner pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Officials said that the operator was not wearing a seat belt during the crash.

The crash is under investigation with the Kenton County Police Department.
