ORANGE COUNTY, FL : 3 kids, 1 teen, 1 adult killed in crash in west Orange County on Thursday, 11th March 2021

Three children, a teenager and an adult were killed in a crash Thursday night in west Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The two-vehicle wreck happened around 7:55 p.m. on Clarcona Ocoee Road at Gaymar Drive.

The FHP said a Hyundai carrying six people was westbound on Clarcona Ocoee Road when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto Gaymar Drive.

A vehicle heading east collided with the Hyundai, which was ripped in half, according to FHP. Several occupants were ejected in the crash, and troopers said the three children killed in the crash appeared to be under the age of 10.

Orange County Fire Rescue Chief Thomas Veal said both drivers survived. The driver of the impacted car suffered serious injuries. The other driver is in stable condition.
