Shreveport, LA : Motorcyclist died in a collision with tractor-trailer rig in north Shreveport Thursday, October 27, 2016
The man killed in a collision between a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler in north Shreveport Thursday has been identified by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office as 48-year-old Thomas Neale Moore of Bossier City.
It happened at 5:27 p.m. Oct. 27 on North Market Street immediately north of Interstate 220.
The 2004 Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle was southbound on North Market; the big rig was headed north on North Market, Shreveport police Cpl. Marcus Hines said.
The 18-wheeler turned into the path of Moore as the semi was attempting to get on westbound I-220, he said.
The motorcycle slammed into the right front wheel well of the big rig. Moore died at the scene.
Almost 2 hours after the wreck, 10 Shreveport police units remained on the scene.
